What is the best way to text the united states from the bahamas?

I'm taking a cruise which will go to the bahamas, and i was wondering the best way to text back to the united states. People have said prepaid phones, calling cards, and a bunch of stuff that i don't really understand. I'm just looking for the cheapest way to be able to text the US from the bahamas. And NO do not say "just don't use your phone" i HAVE to send/recieve 100-150 texts PER day and i will be there for 7 days.

Check with your phone carrier. I go there each March and before I go I contact AT&T and buy a one month package that allows me to call and text from there a lot cheaper. After I return, I cancel the program. Have fun.
