"All ashore that's goinin' ashore! That poor little motor!"


"My gosh, it's a pink sea creature!" (Mr. Volk, ahem, "clambering" aboard after snorkeling)


"See Mom, proof that I took a bath on our sailing trip." (Chris treading water)


"Ya' say me head makes a nice buoy? Arrrgh!" (Mr. Marcus demonstrates his proficiency at swimming)


"Don't make me jump! I promise to polish brass better the next time. Ahhh!" (Chris jumping off the mizzen deck for joy)


"I bet this cannonball dive will cause a tsunami (tidal wave)!"(Jack jumping off the mizzen deck).


"You call that a cannonball? I'll show you a cannonball...." (Mr. Volk waiting for snorkel gear to be handed uptopside.)


"Bless the creatures of the sea, Bless this lunch, called Mac' and Cheese."(The crew saying the Seabase Grace before lunch.)


"I bet this line holds up Mr. Roth's swimsuit! Heave-Ho!"(The crew hauls on the toppin lift halyard to set sail.)


"See Mom - the guitar lessons paid off! 'Tiny bubbles...in the sea..."(Jack at the evening song and .Skit session aboard ship.)


"Since the jib sail is a triangle, there can't be wrong way to put it up. Right, Emsy?" (The foresail crew - Mr. Marcus, Kevin, Andy and Chris learning the proces of setting the jib sails under the direction of First Mate Emsy.)


Two of the most patient and fun-loving sailors this side of Popeye the Sailorman! (Captain Del and First Mate Emsy with their ship, "La Pecheur D' Etoilles")


"Hey, Mom! Emsy baked me this cake on a pitching sea. Can you top that?" (Rob and crew celebrating his 16th birthday with a cake during shore lunch on Wednesday.)


"OK, if we say the Seabase Grace onboard ship, what do we say on dry land?"


"So this is escargot? Why would anyone pay so much to eat smelly snails?" (Kevin Marcus cleaning snail shell treasure to bring back home.)


"Boys, today's job is to re-pitch the ship's hull. We'll start by hauling the boat ashore." (First Mate Emsy, who kept us out of trouble and made sure we functioned as a crew should. She also has the best voice in the Bahamas!)


"A pirate's got to eat but how do you eat beans with only a knife?"


"I haven't played dress-up in years, what a great idea" "I like this blue sequin vest...It's almost like the one in my secret closet back home!" (Mssrs. Marcus, Volk and Roth in their pirate getups.)


"Arrghh, I say. Where's me flagon of Pepsi?"(Mr. Volk keeping an eye on the crew.)


"Does the cabin boy really have to sleep in the bilge?"(Chris as "Scurvey Pete".)


The navigator and ship's lone literate"(Rob Simon as "Blind Bart".)


"You put port hand in...You put your port hand out..."(Our intrepid leaders leading us in the Nautical Hokey Pokey.)


"C'mon guys! I promise I won't burn dinner again!"(Chris Simon swinging into the sea.)


"Agh...ugh...agh...ugh...agh...ugh. Me - Tarzan, where's Jane?"(Andy Roth swinging into action.)


"So that's a conch? And you eat it? Where's the nearest McDonald's" (Mr. Roth watching Emsy show us how to prepare conch. (And it was pretty good :)
